Sat 8/25 - G1: Chicago Wind Nationals 4, Edison Park 2 The Wind had terrific ball movement and controlled time of possession by a wide margin. Nicki scored a quick goal (Claire assist) to put the Wind up 1-0. Katherine made the score 2-0 when she took a cross from Rachel and put the ball in the net. Edison Park cut the lead to 2-1, but Sia made it 3-1 with Rachel again getting the assist. Edison Park cut the lead to 3-2 in the second half. The Wind dominated play and had numerous quality shots and opportunities from that point on even though they did not score the final goal until just before the final whistle when Rachel scored (Sia assist). Amanda had two saves, and Katherine had one save in goal. Noteworthy efforts were also turned in by Montana, Stephanie, Olivia and Marley.
