Apr 9-10, '05	Rockford Tournament The Wind finished with a record of 2-1-1 in the Rockford Spring Fling Invitational. In the first game the Wind won 3-1 thanks to goals by Olivia, Montana and Jessie. In the second game the Wind lost to the Lake Forest Scouts 2-0 in a game that was very evenly fought and scoreless until an unfortunate break lead to a hand ball call that resulted in a Lake Forest goal. In the third game the Wind beat the Naperville Lightning 2-0 on two goals by Rachel H., both of which were set up by assists from Stephanie. The Wind just missed making the semifinals with six points, one point behind two teams from another bracket that finished with 7 points each. In the top consolation game, the Wind tied Elmhurst Select 1-1 thanks to unbelievable goalkeeping by Jessica and a game-tying goal with only minutes left to play by Nicki who had been moved up to forward part way through the second half. Claire provided her usual strong defensive performance throughout the tournament. A highlight of the tournament was Olivia's move to defense in the last two games with smashing results. April 17, '05	Wind 2 - Dolphins 1 In a monumental achievement, the Wind beat Team Chicago Blue Dolphins 2-1. The Blue Dolphins tied for first place during the Fall outdoor season. The Wind took a 1-0 lead when Nicki scored the goal with Stephanie getting the assist. Nicki scored again to make it 2-0 in the first half with Rachel H. getting the assist. Marley had five saves when she turned over a 2-0 lead and the goalkeeping duties to Jessica midway through the first half. Team Chicago scored a goal with a couple of minutes remaining in the game to end the scoring. Jessica had 16 saves and provided strong, steady play in the nets. Noteworthy efforts were turned in by Jessie, Yesenia, Flannery, Jaclyn, Claire, Montana, Olivia and Rachel S.
Apr 24', 05	Lake Forest Scouts Blue 3 - Wind 1 The Wind had a tough day, losing to the Lake Forest Scouts Blue team 3-1. Lake Forest, with the wind at its back and headed in the direction in which the field was tilted downhill in the first half, dominated play in building a 3-0 halftime lead. In the second half the Wind fared slightly better with the wind at its back and playing downhill. Rachel H. scored a goal with Jessie B. getting the assist in the second half, but the Wind could get no closer. Jessica made seven saves in goal. Thanks to Neil Hirschman for the photographs.
May 1, '05	Wind 3 - Glenview Titans Gold 3 Thanks to a late goal, the Wind earned a 3-3 tie against the Glenview Titans Gold. Claire gave the Wind an early 1-0 lead when she pressed up from her defensive position and scored from long range. Glenview responded with two goals to take a 2-1 halftime lead. Jessie scored a goal (Nicki had the assist) to tie the game 2-2. Glenview again took the lead 3-2. Late in the game Marley was moved from defensive to center midfield, and with mere moments left to play she took a pass from Nicki and scored the game-tying goal. Jessica made eight saves in goal. Noteworthy efforts were turned in by Montana, Rachel H. and Stephanie.
