We were honored to let the Matsiko Children's Choir from Uganda join us for 4 days. They are sponsored by the International Children's Network, www.icnchildren.net. You can visit the Matsiko Choir home page here.
We loved getting to know Don, Olivia, Sam, Ron, Ken, Terisia, David, Zack and all the kids in the choir.

Monday Night
We offered to help our friends Jaime & Chelle by letting a few kids from a touring choir stay with us one night.
Well, in our typical style, that turned into 45 people for dinner Monday night and 25 house guests for 3 nights.
We loved every minute of it!

Tuesday
They had a much easier day on Tues - without a drive from Ohio to Chicago. All the kids were feeling at home, some were very happy to have Lucky around. They played lots of basketball, practiced, watched a movie and we all had a great day!

Wednesday
On a beautiful Wednesday evening the Matsiko choir performed after a swim meet at the neighborhood tennis and pool club. The setting was great and the kids put on a wonderful show.

Swimming
After singing it was time to swim! This was definitely the highlight of the day for the kids.

Wed Night
Sorting through all the clothes dropped off by our generous neighbors.

Thursday
One more night. After a full day at Great America the choir spent one last night with us. Check out the pictures the boys took of Mark in the back yard.

Sunday
Since Claire was not home when the choir stayed with us, we decided to take Claire to the choir! We attended Sunday morning service at St. John's Episcopal Church in Chicago. Of course, we had another great time with Matsiko.

US Soccer
A special treat for the kids. Coach Bradley of the US Soccer team let us watch practice. What a great morning. The kids watched practice and then sang for the team. Even the players really enjoyed it.
The best time came when several players gave the kids the shoes off their feet. WOW!
