FC Milwaukee Invitational. Game 1.
Sockers FC Chicago 5 - FCU 1
This was a tough opponent to open with after only 3 practices. The results were not a total surprise.

FC Milwaukee Invitational. Game 2.
FCU 0 - Appleton Goal Getters 0
A close match. We had some chances and even hit the cross bar. But did not score.

FC Milwaukee Invitational. Game 3.
Cedarburg SC Strikers 2 - FCU 0
On a drizzly, overcast Sunday morning the girls came up short. They had a few chances but couldn't find the back of the net.

2009 PUMA Kari Lotko Cup (Rockford). Game 1.
FC Milwaukee U14 5 - FCU 2
The girls got off to a good start. But could not hold back the firepower of FC Milwaukee.

Cedarburg SC Strikers 2 - FCU 1
A strong effort and close score, but no result. On the plus side - lots of good pictures. ;-)

2009 PUMA Kari Lotko Cup (Rockford). Game 3.
FCU 3 - ROCKFORD DACTYLS 2
A nice win to end the tournament. Looking back, the results for FC were not bad. The 5-2 loss in game one was the closest game for FC Mke U14, the age group champs (they won 5-2, 6-2, 4-1, 7-0 & 4-0).The second game the girls played better and kept the score close. And, finally a win in game 3.

FCU 2 - Inter Homer Glen 0
The girls extended their win streak to 2 games on a beautiful sunny morning.

FCU 1 - Strikers 0
Another win. After a long drive, the girls had some great chances in the first half. I have 3 well documented in the pictures. There was no score at the half, but FC scored a goal in the second to win.
(Sorry only pictures from first half. So I had to get creative to cover the lone goal!)

Team Chicago Academy Botafogo 2 - FCU 0
A cold, windy, gloomy day. The girls held even for the for the first half and had a few chances. But Team Chicago were too strong in the second half.

FCU 2 - Sockers 2
At least the sun was out today, even if it was mighty windy. The girls took an early lead but the Sockers came back to earn a draw.

Winter arrived. But at least it was sunny.

FCU 2 - FC Milwaukee 0
A strange combination of sun, rain and hail - all during one game. But it brought out the best of the girls who won 2-0.

Another drizzly game but a solid result for the girls.

FCU 2 - St. Louis 2
A sunny day for a change. We jumped out to a 2 goal lead. St. Louis came back within 1 before the half and then tied it up in the 2nd half. Despite lots of chances we could not put in the game-winner.

11/7/'09
FCU 2 - Chicago Inter Homer Glen 1
Possibly the most pleasant weather for a November game in Chicago. The girls controlled play and took the lead on a long shot by Olivia.

Even nicer weather than the day before. But no goals were scored by either side in 0-0 draw.

FCU 1 - Windy City Pride 0
A very overcast, gloomy evening game (so not many pictures). FC controlled the play and had many scoring chances. Ultimately we won due to an own goal by Windy City.

2009 CASL Showcase (NC). Game 1.
Richmond Strikers (VA) 1 - FCU 0
The girls controlled much of the play, but came up short on goals. Our string of nice November weather continued.

2009 CASL Showcase (NC). Game 2.
AFC Lightning (GA) 3 - FCU 2
We needed a two goal victory to advance to the winner's bracket. A first half goal got us half way there. An early second half goal set the stage. But it was not to be. The Lightning came back strong to score three goals. The last on a perfectly placed free kick that just skimmed under the crossbar.

Because I couldn't believe how many headers Claire made today, I had to put them all together. And it's my web site, so I can…even if Claire protests. ;)

FCU 3 - Waldorf SC Wolverines 0
A nice way to end the tournament and fall season. It was a fun weekend for the team even with the two opening losses.
