In a repeat of the FC Milwaukee final the girls played to evenly matched draw.

FCU 0 - FC Milwaukee 1
For the third time in 3 weeks the teams squared off. After a nil-nil first half, FC Milwaukee scored the game winner late in the second half. FCU had a few chances but could not score.

We controlled play early but did not put in a goal. The Magic scored first on what was probably their only legit shot the whole game. FCU came back to tie the game in the 1st half. FC went ahead iun the second half on a third wind-aided goal.

A great day for pictures. But, apparently, not for playing soccer. In a lackluster performance, the girls fell 1 - 4.

11/6: Menace

 | SLSG Fall Classic - Game 1.
FC United 6 - Des Moines Menace 0
With kickoff at 7:15 and sunrise at 7:31, it was debatable whether the referee would be able to see the girls at kickoff. We arrived to pitch dark parking lot and 25 degree temperature.
But the FCU girls thrived. They scored early and often on their way to a convincing six nil victory.

| SLSG Fall Classic - Game 2.
FC United 0 - JB Marine (MO) 1
The day warmed up and on a beautiful fall afternoon the girls played a nice game against a tough opponent. The only difference in a zero-one loss was a penalty kick awarded to JB Marine on a close call.

Nice win, nice weather, nice early drive home. The girls played 3 solid games but came up just short of the championship game.

A cold windy day. But, ironically, the FC girls dealt with the wind much better than Windy City Pride.
