Sat 4/21: DHS 2 - Sycamore 0 Coach Grady's Report:The Warrior soccer team concluded its participation in the 2012 Pepsi Showdown with a 2-0 victory over the Spartans of Sycamore High School Saturday at Olympic Park in Schaumburg. The Warriors had some quality chances in the first half, but could not find the back of the net. Defenders Emily M, Kerry, and Jill kept the Spartans away from Bailey for much of the half. In the second half, Deerfield finally broke through in the 63rd minute when Hannah R lofted a diagonal pass over the top of the defense for Trishie, who beat the keeper to the ball and flicked it in to the empty net. Five minutes later, Claire’s pass again found Trishie in space, and the junior made no mistake, scoring her third of the season to make it 2-0 Warriors. Bailey made a total of 10 saves in recording her 6th shutout of the year.
