8/12/'09: 8/12/09: Mexico 2 - USA 1 World Cup Qualifier. Estadio Azteca, Mexico City Nate and I flew down on a red-eye flight and arrived the morning of the game. Got quoted on an ESPN blog as one of the few Americans making the trip. Had breakfast with Bob. Walked many miles in and around Estadio Azteca. 105,000 fans - 500 for the US. Amazing atmosphere. We sat in 14th row surrounded by Mexcian fans. US Scored first. We stood and cheered (ooops), which led to many beers in our direction when Mexico scored the game-winner. Fun trip, despite the tough loss for US.
