Mon 3/19: DHS 1 - Lane Tech 3
Coach Grady's Report:The Deerfield Girls Soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to a tough Lane Tech team at Lane Stadium on Monday. Playing without three starters due to injury and illness, the Warriors struggled to generate offense in the first half, trailing 1-0 at halftime to a 35th minute goal. The Warriors played more aggressively in the second half, with Amanda K firing a shot just over the bar early in the half before tying the game on a 20 yard blast on a free kick by Amanda I in the 52nd minute. The Indians retook the lead three minutes later, and the Warriors had to play catch up again. Lane added a third in the final minutes on a counter attack, before Hannah's cross was headed just over the bar by JoElla. Bailey made 8 saves for the Warriors (2-1-1).
