Coach Grady's Report:The Deerfield Warriors continued their season opening home stand with a 0-0 tie against Glenbrook South on Saturday. Facing a 20 mile per hour wind in the first half, the Warriors relied on defenders Claire, Maddy, Jill, and Amanda K to keep the Titans off the board. Goalie Bailey had an outstanding diving save to keep the game scoreless late in the half. In the second half, the Warriors were able to generate more offense, and Trishie actually had the ball in the net for the Warriors, but the goal was nullified when the officials ruled that Trishie had fouled the goalkeeper prior to scoring. The remainder of the game was a tense defensive battle with neither team able to break through.
