9/7: Loons at Mink & Whortleberry Islands: LPC told me a while ago about a chick adopted by a Loon pair nesting at Mink Island. I finally found the chick and one parent between Mark & Timber Islands today. Then I went to check on the family nesting near Whortleberry Island that was raising 3 chicks. Today, I only saw 2 adults, and no chick after about an hour of watching. But I did see them react strongly to an eagle (or other type of hawk) overhead.
